Karen R. Campagna
Karen is a twenty-year veteran of the telecommunications business, beginning her career with Stromberg-Carlson during the launch of the digital conversion of the network. She has held various positions in the product management, marketing, and sales related to nearly all aspects of the network including: switching, fiber optics, and video systems. Karen also specialized in the area of operational support systems, developing an OSS business for Siemens. She is now on the Cisco Systems team, where she is actively building network convergence business solutions for service providers.
Throughout her career in telecommunications, Karen has worked with service providers of all kinds, but her primary focus has been with rural (independent) local exchange carriers, and is one of the industry’s leading experts in RLEC business dynamics.
Karen’s main focus over the years has been in real-world, end-user dynamics, where she has helped telephone companies: plan, time, and implement the transition to digital networks; transition to automated support systems; and most recently, the migration of the convergence of voice and data on a consolidated network, and the explosion of the Triple Play.
Karen is an active member of the NTCA, USTelecom, OPASTCO, CompTel, and the American Marketing Association. She is a frequent speaker at industry events and is active in association planning committees.
Karen has spent most of her life in the Sunshine State, including receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida with an emphasis on Marketing and her MBA with Honors at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
